To the ARcher/Shearer Family--I was so saddened to read of JOyce's passing. Growing up together, she was always so nice to everyone. And she was a good friend to my older sister Mary. I hope you can find comfort in your memories and knowing that she left a positive imprint on so many people. I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers--Anne Schley Zumbach
The Martins are deeply saddened to hear of our dear “grandma” Joyce’s passing. She was one the best human beings we ever had the pleasure of knowing, enriching the lives of everyone she encountered, including ours. We first met her in 2002, when we moved to Spring Ridge in Frederick, MD. She became a part of our lives, never missing an opportunity to reach out in love and kindness in so many ways: from helping to teach the kids computing, to birthday parties and celebrations, and trips to granddad’s house with the kids; she always brought happiness to our family. There is no doubt that Jesus was working in and through Joyce, and because of that, we have the blessed hope that we will see her again someday. It is now up to us to keep her example of faith and works alive, so that on that last day, we all may be reunited in glory. She will be missed, but the reunion will be great. Rest peacefully our dear friend. Even so, come, Lord Jesus.
Our thoughts and prayers are with your family.
This woman of God had a true servant’s heart. The way she engaged people made them feel important (especially children). My children remember that she always had her camera and for playing capture-the-flag with them (simple, yet very impactful memories). We look forward to reconnecting with her in heaven someday.
Joyce Archer was a spiritual mother to me. I am forever grateful for her joyful and encouraging spirit and her relentless prayers. Heaven gained quite a saint this week.
Joyce was the most incredible Mother-In-Law on the planet. She was pure light and joy! She shined brightly for Jesus and loved her family and friends deeply. My life has been forever impacted by her presence. She leaves a void on this earth that will never be filled, but we rejoice knowing that we will see her again with all the saints that have gone before her. Love you forever, Mom
My sister, Joyce, was one of the most loving, unselfish people I ever knew. The pain of loosing her will never go away. Her faith in our Lord was true and strong and never failing, and I love her with all my heart. I miss you, Joyce!
