Obituary
Joseph "Tyler" Rakich, 28, of Frederick, Maryland, beloved son, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin and friend passed away Sunday, February 25th, 2018 at the University of Maryland Medical Center in Baltimore, Maryland. Tyler will be forever remembered and always missed by his parents, Joseph and Patricia Rakich; his sisters Tina "Lady T" Cavin-Johnson (Leon), Joelie "J-Money" Pitts (Nathan), Samantha "Smom" Donovan (Kevin); Stephanie "Boss" Rakich; Miki "Big Mike" Rakich (Jeff); and his brother and best friend Luis Cotto. He was a loving uncle to Raymond "Coop", Caitlin, Brooklyn, Jacob, Bryson, Noella, Carter, Isla, Layla and great nephew Calin. He was well loved by his extended family, co-workers, teachers and many others he met along the way. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Mike and Louise Rakich, and Stanley and Lennis Mahoney. Tyler worked at Hi-Tek Construction Inc. where he was the "best of the best" gradall operator. He enjoyed playing basketball, football, and his favorite restaurant was Matsutaki. He adored animals, especially his dogs; he loved Dragon Ball Z, Godzilla, astronomy, sky scrapers, meteorology and Harry Potter. He was an old soul who loved spending time with his family; making jokes and laughing with others. Tyler was a protector, who was strong and sensitive, with a heart of gold. A visitation will be held on Saturday, March 3rd from 1-3 pm at the Historical Chapel at Resthaven Memorial Gardens, 9501 Catoctin Mountain Highway, Frederick, Md where a service will begin at 3 pm with Pastor Karin Albaugh officiating.
