Joseph Wade Hampton III's Obituary
It is with deep sadness, we bid farewell to Joseph W Hampton III, 75, of Frederick, MD. Joe passed away on April 10, 2026, surrounded by his family.
Joe was born in Baltimore, MD on May 15, 1950, to the late Joseph W Hampton Jr, and Ella Fay (Garcia) Hampton, of Baltimore, MD.
Joe was a devoted father, brother, and friend to many. Joe is survived by three children, Ryan Hampton of Jessup, MD, Jennifer Green (John) of Ocean Springs, MS, and stepdaughter Heather Bell (Henry Anderson) of Pasadena, MD. He was most proud of his granddaughter, Evelyn Green of Ocean Springs, MS. Joe is also survived by his sister, Theresa (Hampton) Montgomery (Wayne) of Chesapeake Beach, MD. He will be sorely missed by his beloved soulmate, Kathy Heil, of Frederick, MD.
Joe was a career employee of the State of Maryland. He proudly retired after 50 years of dedicated service.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Joe’s memory to the American Heart Association.
Joe’s love and spirit will live on in the hearts of his family and friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held May 29, 2026, at 10:00am at the Resthaven Chapel Mausoleum 9501 Catoctin Mountain Highway Frederick, MD, followed by a reception and fellowship at the Resthaven Funeral Home.
