Mr. Joseph William Dobson's Obituary
Mr. Joseph William Dobson, 68, of Frederick, passed away peacefully at home on April 7, 2023. He was the loving companion of Wendi Dobson for over 30 years.
Born September 19, 1954, Joe enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1970 and served as an Armored Vehicle Mechanic with duty stations in West Germany and Ft. Hood, TX. He was also a motorcycle mechanic, working exclusively on Harley Davidsons out of his home and later started his own motorcycle repair business. Joe was also an accomplished carpenter by trade, and worked for McLaughlin Painting for 40 years doing excellent construction and remodeling work. Joe loved good food and loved to cook, and enjoyed long motorcycle rides with his buddies Glenn, Bob, “Face”, Billy, and Rich.
In addition to his loving wife Wendi, Joe is survived by his son, David “Buddy” Dobson & his wife Laura Dobson; two granddaughters, Emma and Olivia; his sister Virginia Scott & husband David “Doc” Scott.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, April 12th at the Resthaven Funeral Home & Community Center, 9501 B Catoctin Mountain Hwy. in Frederick, concluding with military honors.
