Joseph Stanley Auguste's Obituary
Joseph Stanley Auguste passed away peacefully at his home in Montgomery Village, Maryland on December 24, 2025, at the age of 79.
Joseph was born on March 10, 1946, in Bouton, St. Lucia to parents Stephanie and Victor Auguste. Joseph was one of nine siblings.
Joseph was an Electrician by trade and worked for the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers for over 20 years retiring in September of 2016. Joseph loved to dance and loved music, especially gospel music. He was very witty and always had a wise cracking joke. He was kindhearted would give the clothes off of his back to anybody who needed it.
Joseph is survived by his wife, Sonia and his siblings, Sylvester and Albert. Joesph leaves behind many children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews. Each one deeply loved and cherished, and each carrying forward his legacy of love and faith.
Joseph was also cherished by the extended families connected to him, including the Auguste, Caddet, Wilfred, Douglas, Cenac, Emmanuel, Poylmus, Stephen, and Simon families. All of whom mourn his passing and celebrate his life. He also leaves behind cherished friends in Maryland, New York, and St. Lucia who will miss him greatly.
Joe will be remembered for his presence, his legacy, and the generations of family he leaves behind. His life touched many, and his memory will live on through all who knew and loved him.
Services to honor Joseph’s life will be held on Saturday, January 24 at in the Catoctin Chapel at Resthaven Funeral Home in Frederick, MD. Family and friends may visit beginning at 10:00 AM with the service to follow at 11:00 AM in the Catoctin Chapel. A graveside service will take place immediately after at the Resthaven Memorial Gardens. A reception will be held from 12:30 PM to 2:30 PM in the Monocacy Room at Resthaven.
