John Vincent Goff's Obituary
John Vincent Goff, a devoted husband, father, and man of deep faith, passed away peacefully on October 17, 2025. He was born in Manheim, West Virginia, and raised in Frederick, Maryland, where he built a life rooted in service, family, and unwavering faith.
He was the son of the late David Allen Goff and Goldie May Robinson Goff. John was preceded in death by his cherished daughter, Hiedi Forrester.
John began his career with B&O Railroad/CSX in 1962 and dedicated four decades to the railroad, retiring in 2002 as an Interlocking Tower Operator. He also proudly served in the United States Army.
John was a licensed evangelist with The Book of Acts Church, following his calling for a number of years, ministering in jails and nursing homes. He also was a missionary, and traveled to Africa and India, where he shared his faith in tent ministries throughout these countries.
He is survived by his loving wife, Juanita Jean Goff, and his devoted daughters: Diana Warner (Tom), Dawn Kersey (Michael), and Melissa Davis (Adam). John also leaves behind his brother, William “Bill” Goff; his sister, Ellen Goff Hebb; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends who will miss his warmth, wisdom, and unwavering kindness.
The visitation will be held at Resthaven Funeral Home in Frederick on Wednesday, October 22. 2025 from 10 am until 11am with the funeral service starting at 11am in the Catoctin Chapel at Resthaven. The graveside service will immediately follow the funeral service at Resthaven Memorial Gardens.
John’s life was a testament to faith, service, and love. His legacy lives on in the lives he touched and the family he cherished.
