JoAnn Frances Bradshaw's Obituary
Joann Frances Bradshaw passed away on December 11, 2025, in Frederick, Maryland. She was born in Baltimore to her late parents, Joseph Anthony Falatico and Frances Mary Wilchinski, and she carried deep pride in her Italian and Lithuanian heritage.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and sister, Frances Paula Falatico.
Joann was formerly married to Lt. Colonel Wayne Alexander Bradshaw, who survives her. She leaves behind her children, Kimberly Ann Pastran and Wayne Anthony Bradshaw; and her beloved grandson, Aurelio Milagro Pastran, who brought immeasurable joy into her life. She is also survived by her brother, Joseph Anthony Falatico.
Some of Joann’s fondest memories were spent at her parents’ summer home on the Chesapeake Bay in Pasadena, Maryland—swimming, boating, and crabbing. She treasured every moment on the water, especially gathering with family and friends to enjoy steamed crabs and laughter along the shore.
Joann was outgoing, funny, and never shy, with a big personality that filled every room she entered. She loved playing cards, cooking—especially Italian dishes—and spending time with the people she loved. She enjoyed traveling and lived in Seoul, Korea from 1966 to 1968 while her husband was deployed with the Army.
A strong and independent woman, Joann approached life with positivity and determination. She was a devoted and involved mother and grandmother, and becoming a grandmother in 2008 was one of her greatest joys. She cared for her grandson like a second mother, pouring her heart into every moment with him.
Joann moved to Frederick nearly 30 years ago, where she built a wonderful community of friends. She loved her neighborhood, her card group, and her time volunteering at Frederick Memorial Hospital. She spent her career as an elementary school teacher, known for her big heart and her ability to be both loving and firm when needed. She touched countless young lives through her dedication to her students.
She had a generous spirit, a remarkable work ethic, and a deep love for her family and friends. Persistent, determined, and full of heart, Joann made a lasting impact on everyone who knew her—whether as a teacher, friend, mother, or grandmother. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
The funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, January 3, 2026 at St. Peter the Apostle Roman Catholic Church, 9201 Green Valley Road, Union Bridge, MD 21791 with a graveside service to immediately follow the funeral.
