Hill, Joan's Obituary
Mrs. Joan Marie Hill, 77, of Frederick, passed away peacefully on June 16, 2026.
Born on February 17, 1949, in Washington, D.C., Joan was the daughter of Roscoe Henry and Mae Ann Henry. She graduated from Bethesda-Chevy Chase High School and shortly thereafter began her 25-plus-year career in government, starting at the National Institutes of Health and finishing at the National Institute of Standards and Technology.
Joan loved cooking in her home, volunteering at the Walkersville Fire Hall, and sewing, where she was a talented seamstress. She cherished every moment spent with her four grandchildren, who were the absolute joy of her life.
Mrs. Hill was predeceased by her husband, Richard Beasley. She is survived by her sons, Tim Hill and his wife Jenny, and Greg Hill and his partner Trisha Dukes; her siblings, Kathy Nave and her husband David, and Roscoe Henry Jr. and his wife Patti; her four grandchildren, Brady and Bailey Hill, and Emmerson and Grayson Hill; and her five nephews, Brian Nave and his wife Renee, Roscoe Henry III and his wife Megan, Justin Henry, Chase Henry, and Conner Henry.
An outdoor service will be held at Resthaven in Frederick on Saturday, June 27, 2026, at 11:00 a.m.
