Mr. Jessie LeJeune Jr.'s Obituary
Jessie LeJeune, Jr., 57, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, June 11th, 2024. Born in Elton, LA, Jessie moved to Maryland with his family at the age of seven. At eighteen, his first child Angela Tritt (Thomas), was born. He met his wife of twenty-six years, Mary Ellen LeJeune, in Baltimore, and together they settled in Emmitsburg, where they raised their two sons, Jessie LeJeune III and Justin LeJeune.
Jessie was fearless, adventurous, and always the life of the party, making friends wherever he went. He was a skilled carpenter and an intelligent man who knew something about everything. He loved the outdoors, especially watching sunrises and sunsets on the porch while smoking a cigarette and drinking a cup of coffee or a cold beer.
Some of his favorite activities included going to yard sales to buy things he would never use, asking for discounts (which he always got), listening to the same song on repeat (sometimes changing the lyrics), and laughing at his own stupid jokes, which had a way of making you laugh along with him. Jessie also enjoyed cooking and made sure no one left his table hungry. He was an avid collector, or perhaps "hoarder", of Harley Davidson motorcycles and parts. He always found solace on the open road. He was a free spirit, but above all, Jessie loved his family and made sure they knew it. To his children he was a legend. They believed him to be the only man who could kick Chuck Norris' ass. He was loved unconditionally and will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
Jessie is survived by his wife Mary, daughter Angela (Austin), sons Jessie (fiancé Andi) and Justin, grandchildren Jaiden, AJ, Penelope and Asher, sisters Emily and Sharon, and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will hold a private service for Jessie on June 24th. Flowers can be sent to Resthaven Funeral Home, 9501 Catoctin Mountain Highway, Frederick, MD 21701.
