Jeanette Johnson Boyd, age 95, passed away Monday, August 3rd in Asheville, North Carolina. Jeanette was born on January 29, 1920 in Dothan, Alabama, the fourth of nine children to the late Alto and Nola Johnson. She was preceded in death by her husband Stanley W. Boyd.She is survived by her daughters, Judith Colella (Dick) of Asheville, NC and Jane Pannier (Mike) of Greenville, SC and by her four grandsons: Tony Colella of Morganton, NC; Ken Colella of Richmond, VA, Tom Colella of Brooklyn, NY and Mike Lane of Frederick, MD; and one great granddaughter, Kaitlin Colella. She is also survived by her brother Alto Johnson, Jr. and her sister Gwen Fowler, both of Dothan, AL.Jeanette and her family resided in Fairfax, VA for 10 years before moving to Frederick, MD in 1967 when Stan and his business partner opened Fredericktown Toyota, originally Custer Toyota. After settling in Frederick, Jeanette opened a Merle Norman Cosmetic Studio, which she successfully operated for fifteen years. Following her retirement, Jeanette volunteered at Frederick Memorial Hospital and at Select Seconds.The family will receive friends on Friday, August 7th from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at Keeney and Basford Funeral Home, 106 E. Church Street, Frederick. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 8th at 10:00 am in the Etchison Memorial Chapel of the Funeral Home.
