Mrs. Jean Marie Lohr's Obituary
Mrs. Jean Marie "Jeannie" Lohr passed away peacefully on July 13, 2025. Born October 9, 1940, in Washington, D.C., Jeannie worked for many years for both the D.C. and federal governments and loved telling stories of riding the streetcar to work. She met her first husband, Robert E. Lee, at work, and they were blessed with two sons who survived her. James Robert, wife Kit, of Frederick, and John Christopher, wife Tina, of Virginia Beach, VA. Jeannie was married to Marvin Lohr for 25 years, who survives her.
She was blessed with a wonderful second family with the Lohr's who she loved dearly and thought of as her family. Surviving her are Marvin 3rd, wife Anastasia, of Rehoboth Beach, DE, Tim of Frederick, and Mark, wife Lisa of Frederick.
Her favorite place to vacation was Rehoboth Beach, DE, and she and Marvin resided there for over a decade before relocating to Hagerstown, MD to be closer to friends and family.
Also remembering her passing are Grandchildren Matthew Lee, Cecelia Lee, Colin McPheeters, Lillian McPhetters, Grace Lohr, Genna Lohr, Grant Lohr, and Gage Lohr. Great-grandson Umberto Lee.
She was loved by her nieces and nephews, who knew her as their Fairy Godmother, Carolyn, Joel, and Angie. Jeannie will be missed by her first daughter-in-law, Joann Foltz, who remained a dear friend.
Jeannie was a lover of animals and had many wonderful pets throughout her life, and will be missed by her little poodle, Bella.
All friends and family who knew and loved her will miss her presence here with us. Anyone who was fortunate to know Jeannie had a true friend for life. She was a bright light in this world and led a faith-based life as a devout Catholic.
In her passing, we remember Jeannie as a beacon of love, compassion, and friendship, and we are grateful for the time we share with her. As we mourn her loss, let us also celebrate the beautiful and caring soul she was.
