Mrs. Jane Douglas, 89, of Frederick, passed away at her home Saturday, September 10, 2016. She was the wife of the late John C. "Jack" Douglas. Born December 20, 1926 in Hagerstown, Maryland, she was the daughter of the late Gernard L. and Catharine Garling Shadrach. Mrs. Douglas was a member of St. John's Catholic Church. She is a graduate of North Hagerstown High School class of 1946. In earlier years she was employed at Arlans and retired from the Bon-Ton. She was a member of the New Thurmont Dance Club and the Daughters of the Nile and was an avid duck pin bowler. She is survived by her children Roger Douglas and wife Barbara of Hagerstown, Marlin Delauter and husband Donald of Frederick, Connie Lee Douglas and husband John Tipton of Reno, Nevada, and Theresa Kline of Walkersville, grandchildren Rachel Sherman, Estee Burgess, Britney Delauter, Dr. Amanda Tipton, Jacob Kline and Casey Kline, eight great grandchildren, brothers Charles D. Shadrach, John Shadrach and Tommy Shadrach. Many nieces and nephews also survive. She was preceded in death by two sisters June Shadrach and Josephine Kimmel, and a brother Ronald Lee Shadrach. The family will receive friends at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick, Wednesday, September 14, from 2-4 and 6-8 PM, where services will be held Thursday, September 15, at 11:00 am. Interment Resthaven Memorial Gardens Contributions may be expressed to the Ali Ghan Shrine Transportation Fund.
