Obituary
James (Jim) William Crampton was a long-time resident of Frederick, MD. He was born on July 9, 1938 in Georgetown. Jim went home with the Lord on Sunday, February 5th, 2017; he was 78. He enlisted in the Navy in 1955. He retired in 2016 as a Horse Farm Caretaker for Glade Valley Farm in Frederick, MD. He had such a love for horses. Jim loved spending as much time with his family as he did with church family. He loved fishing, cookouts, camping, spending time in the great outdoors and loved the art of drawing. He especially loved sunsets. Jim leaves behind a very large loving family: He is predeceased by his Mother, Myrtle Lorraine Simmons and Father, John William Crampton. Surviving him is his wife Lorinda. He is survived by his Brother- Paul Crampton, Sister- Lorraine Keesecker with husband John, Sister -Mary Sanders, Sister-Rose Parks with husband Joe, Sister-Eve Malley with husband James. He is survived by his children, Son- James W. Crampton II, Son-Robert D. Crampton with wife Michelle, Daughter-Dana Athey with husband Gary, Daughter-April D. Crampton, Daughter-Dinah L. Price with husband Derrick, Richard A. Crampton with wife Crystal, Daughter-Shana J. Crampton, Son-Carl (CJ) Crampton with wife Carmela, Daughter- Dawn M. Harold with husband Rob, Daughter-Stacey K. Whimple, Son- Edward Simmons. Dorraine and Duane Johnson, Christina Whitaker with husband Bobby. He is survived by 20 Grandchildren and 10 Great Grandchildren and many loving Nieces and Nephews. In lieu of flowers please donate to South End Baptist Church Memorial Fund in Honor of James William Crampton. Visitation will be held at South End Baptist Church, 506 Carrollton Drive, Frederick from noon until 1 PM when a funeral service will begin.
