Mr. James Robert Remsburg Sr.'s Obituary
James Robert Remsburg Sr., age 85, passed away in Frederick, MD on Saturday, December 17, 2022.
Born May 20, 1937, in Baltimore, MD, son of Roger Albert and Mary Edna Norris Remsburg. He lived in New Midway, Md. and worked as a Residential Drywall Mechanic for many years until his retirement in 2002. Jim was married for 64 years to Shelva Gene Remsburg until her passing in February 2020. With whom he enjoyed going to flea markets, auctions, and yard sales, collecting many treasures. An avid outdoorsman, Jim liked hunting and fishing and sharing those experiences with his son and grandsons.
Jim is survived by his daughters, Teresa Watts and husband Jollie, Sherry Brehm and husband Charlie, and daughter in- law Tracy Remsburg. Grandchildren, Jamie Reichard and wife Cari, Amie Heyward and husband Eddie, James Remsburg III and wife Raechel, Jason Remsburg, Corey Brehm and wife Brittany, Ashlea Brehm and companion Bryan Shaffer and Step grandchildren Garrett Gilbert and Katie Gilbert. As well as ten great grandchildren, three great great grandchildren along with several nieces and nephews. Jim was preceded in death by son James Remsburg Jr. Brothers Albert Remsburg, Owen Remsburg, Donald Remsburg, Garland Remsburg, and sister Marybelle Guttenmann.
Friends and relatives are invited to visit on Wednesday, December 28, 2022, from 10:30 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. in the Chapel of Resthaven Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc. 9501-B Catoctin Mountain Hwy. Frederick, Maryland 21701 (U.S. Rte. 15 north) on the campus of Resthaven Memorial Gardens. A funeral service will commence at 11:30 a.m. Interment Resthaven Memorial Gardens immediately following.
