James Harris Mollman's Obituary
James Harris Mollman, 78, from Stevensville, MD passed away peacefully at his home on October 29, 2025. Jim was born on February 2, 1947 in Pittsburgh, PA to parents Kathryne Virginia Clark and Melvin Lewis Mollman. Jim attended Severna Park High School, class of 1965. Jim then attended University of Baltimore where he studied accounting. In college Jim was a natural athlete, excelling at swimming and baseball. While in college, Jim worked as a traffic controller on the Chesapeake Bay Bridge, which fueled his interest in police work. Prior to graduation, Jim entered the Maryland State Police Academy in April 1969. Jim enjoyed a 25 year career as a Maryland State Trooper serving the Annapolis, BWI Airport, and Centreville communities, retiring as a Sergeant in August 1994. Jim then joined the Anne Arundel County Sheriffs Office in the Warrant Apprehension Unit until retirement. Jim was also a respected member of Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 106 where he served as Sergeant at Arms.
Jim is survived by his loving wife, Linda, his 4 children Jason, Natalie, Sarah, and Brandy; 7 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; and 3 siblings Vickie, Steve, and Eileen. Jim is preceded in death by his parents and his brother Richard.
A graveside service will be held at 12pm on November 7 at Resthaven Memorial Gardens at 9501 Catoctin Mountain Hwy, Frederick, MD.
