Mr. James Vincent McCuller, Jr. age 86, of Union Bridge, died Friday, September 14, 2018 at Glade Valley Center, Walkersville, where he had resided since 2013. Born April 17, 1932 in Lisbon, he was the son of the late James Vincent Sr. and Emily Leona Knill McCuller. He was the husband of Nancy Louise Houck McCuller, his wife of 54 years. Jim was a lifelong dairy farmer in the Johnsville area until retirement in 1997. He was a member of the Union Bridge Church of the Brethren, the Capitol Milk Producers, later the Maryland and Virginia Milk Producers and the Frederick County Farm Bureau. He enjoyed traveling, spending time with his grandchildren, and playing cards and dominoes with the late Roger Reifsnider and George Ashbaugh. In addition to his wife he is survived by sons, Michael Vincent McCuller and wife Julie and Chad Alan McCuller and wife Vivian, all of Union Bridge; grandchildren, Rachel and Brian McCuller and Matthew McCuller; brothers, Robert McCuller of Taneytown, Jerry McCuller of Williamsburg, PA and Don McCuller and wife Dolly of Gettysburg, PA; brother-in-law Richard Trout of Keymar and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by a grandson, Mehrle and sisters, Leona Trout and husband Harry and Kathleen Trout. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, September 17 at Hartzler Funeral Home-Libertytown, 11802 Liberty Rd., Frederick, with Rev. Sandi Evans Rogers, his pastor and Rev. Gerald W. McCuller Jr., his nephew, officiating. Interment will follow in Resthaven Memorial Gardens, Frederick. The family will receive friends at the funeral home 1-3 and 7-9 p.m. Sunday, September 16.
