James R. Harry, Jr, 77, of Sykesville, died Saturday, July 16, 2016 at his home. Born May 22, 1939 in Washington, DC, he was the son of the late James Russell Harry, Sr. and Louise Clampett Harry. He was the husband of the late Joan Harry who died in 2004. They had been married for 19 years. He had retired from the business world and was enjoying life.He also enjoyed the game of golf and spending quality time with his family. He was a member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Mt. Airy. He is survived by son Scott Harry and wife Susan, daughters Janice Harman and husband Tim, Kris Heppler, Stephanie Harry and Janice Yetter and husband Michael. James is also survived by brother Alan Harry, nine grandchildren and one great garndchild. The family will receive friends Thursday fom 6-8 pm at the Jeffrey N. Zumbrun Funeral Home, 6028 Sykesville Road, Eldersburg, MD 21784. Funeral services will be held Friday, 11:00AM at St. Paul's Episcopal Church, 16457 Old Frederick Road, Mt. Airy, MD 21771, with his pastor, Rev. Susan S. Keller, officiating. Entombment will follow in Resthaven Memorial Gardens in Frederick. In lieu of flowers, sympathies may be expressed in the form of contributions in his name to St. Paul's Episcopal Church.
