James Louis Elliott, Sr., 74, of Frederick passed away on Wednesday, April 13th. He was the loving husband of Cathy Elliott for 45 years. He was born on December 8, 1941 in Washington, DC, to the late William and Naomi. Jimmy was a kind, gentle man who enjoyed the simple things in life. He loved to fish and dance, especially what is best described as the jitterbug. He loved to work on old Volkswagen bugs, telling jokes, and watching the "Andy Griffith Show" and westerns. He was known to wear his slippers every and anywhere. He was an avid Redskins fan but his biggest joy in life next to his wife, was his 6 grandkids. In addition to his wife he is survived by his sons; Jamie and wife Angela, and Kevin and wife Morgan. Grandchildren; Devin, Memphis, Ava, Sidney, Sadie, and Owen. Very special friend and sister-in-law; Mandy. Sister-in-laws; Faye, Etta, Dee, and Sheila. And numerous extended family and friends. He was preceded in death by his mother and father-in-laws; Henry and Ellen Hair. Brother-in-law and best friend; Dale Stiffler. And nephew; Ryan Stewart. Friends may gather on Monday, April 18th at noon at the Resthaven Historical Chapel, 9501 Catoctin Mountain Highway, Frederick, Maryland where a remembrance ceremony will begin at 1 pm.
