James Thomas Earp Sr's Obituary
James (Jimmy) Thomas Earp Sr 77 of Cobb Island, MD passed away Wednesday July 17, 2024, at Medstar St. Mary’s County Hospital.
Born on February 12, 1947, in Bethesda, MD he was the son of the late James Franklin Earp, and Stella Mae (Clark) Earp.
Jimmy served in the Army during Vietnam from 1966-1968 where he was a helicopter mechanic. After Vietnam he worked in Masonry for John Pomroy, and Johnny Fowler. He worked many years for Harold Von Braunhut who invented Sea Monkeys and was one of a few who knew the formula. He enjoyed spending his time on the water and will be missed by his Cobb Island Family.
Jimmy is survived his son James Earp Jr, and wife Julie of Middletown. Daughter Jamee Dwyer of Calvert County MD. Grandchildren Jared, and Josh Earp. He is survived by one brother Butch Earp (Luann), and two sisters Viola (Vi) Williams (Drew), and Ruth Earp. Sister-in- law Glenda Earp, and brother-in- law Merle Flohr, andnumerous nieces, and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his children’s mothers Sharen Brown, and Frances (Franny) Earp, his sisters Alice Pomroy, Mary Ann Shankle, and Barbara Flohr, brother Virgil Earp, brother- in- laws Robert Shankle, and John Pomroy.
