Irene Dobrosky's Obituary
Obituary
Irene Dobrosky of Sunrise Senior Living of Frederick, Md. Arose with the angels to her eternal Heavenly home on early Friday morning, April 28, 2017. Michael was waiting for her with open arms and a joyful smile. She took her great faith in Jesus Christ and love (given and gathered) with her to meet her loving Creator, God. She was born on March 24, 1927, in Western Pennsylvania to the late John and Katherine Sperling. Rene was born with the most beautiful eyes of blue. She was the beloved wife of the late Michael Dobrosky Jr., her husband and equal partner of 68 years. They married on June 26, 1948 at the Greek Byzantine Catholic Church in Sykesville, Pennsylvania. They had three daughters, Maureen and the twins, Linette and Nanette. She loved Michael with all her heart. Since his passing in September, she would inquire about him every day. He was her love and life. Rene and Michael lived in their home built by Michael in Pennsylvania. She took care of their family and rental property while Mike worked away from home. Rene loved to travel with Mike and their girls. Michael's work took him to many places and he loved to take his family with him. After retirement, Rene and Michael moved to Hilton Head Island, South Carolina and then Southport, North Carolina. They moved to Maryland to be closer to their daughters as they began to age. Rene was a Pittsburgh Steelers fan. She and Mike would wear their yellow Steeler tee shirts and caps for every game. Rene loved her home and family. She created a home full of love, books and a strong faith in God. She had a special gift of knowing a person very well the moment she met them. She loved to talk and had a sweet charm about herself. Her first born beloved daughter Maureen Weber, her parents John and Katherine Sperling, a special sister Martha, sister Madeline, brothers Paul and Dale, and in-laws Mike and Mary Dobrosky, Sr. preceded her in life passing. Rene is survived by her twin daughters, Linette and Nanette of Frederick, MD.; son-in-law Richard Weber of Falling Waters, WV.; sister Pat and husband Ike Bearfield of Brockport, PA.; and brother-in-law William Dobrosky and family of Fernandina Beach, FL. She was a member of St. Katherine Drexel Catholic Church in Frederick, MD. The family would like to thank St. Katherine Drexel Eucharist Ministries and St. John the Evangelist. Again, we would like to thank the entire Sunrise staff who lovingly cared for our beloved mother while living at Sunrise. You gave her love and peace in her passing from this life to her new life. A private graveside interment service will be held at 10 AM Tuesday, May 2nd in the Garden of Memory II at Resthaven Memorial Gardens, 9501 Catoctin Mountain Highway, Frederick, MD. With Deacon Daniel Roff officiating, who always has a special way with words. Arrangements are with Resthaven Funeral Services of Frederick. Sharon and Jim, you are the best! The family will miss and love Rene every day, and know they all will come together in God's Heavenly Home someday. She was the best wife and mother in the world. Until we meet again, we love you forever. -When I was a little child and began school, the teacher asked me my dad's name. I said "Sugar." She asked me my mom's name. I said her name was "Sugar." The teacher asked my twin sister and she said exactly the same thing. The teacher laughed and our parents laughed too. So "Sugar" and "Sugar" you are both together again. May your love grow with our Lord in Heaven. "Be imitators of God, therefore, as dearly loved children and live a life of love, just as Christ loved us." -Ephesians 5:1-2 NIV ServiceResthaven Memorial Gardens-Pvt.
