Howard Donnelly, Jr, 81, of Sabillasville, passed away at his home surrounded by his family on Friday, November 17, 2017. He was the loving husband of Ethel for 58 years. He was born May 7, 1936 in Thurmont to the late Virgie and Howard Donnelly as the last surviving member of 10 siblings. Howard worked at Moore Business Form in Thurmont, Hunters Den in Waynesboro, PA., and State Line in Emmitsburg. He was a people person who just loved to be around people regardless of where he was or what he was doing. He loved dining out, fishing at White's Ferry by himself or with friends, and especially fishing with his great-grandson. One of his greatest joys was vacationing with his family. He was the treasurer of Mount Quirak Rod and Gun for over 40 years. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his son, Michael Donnelly and wife Sue. Daughter, Sharon Weddle and husband Gene. Granddaughters, Michelle Lewis and husband Aaron, and Christie Donnelly. Great-grandchildren, Hunter, Madalynn, and Emma. Special Nephew, Earl Miller and wife Dale and nieces, Cheryl, Ann, and Margaret. And numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. He was preceded in death by siblings, Joe, Sis, Jimmy, Betty, Kissie, Georgette, Margaret (Twin), Pauline, and Patsy. And great-grandson, Blake Michael. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 21st from 5-8 pm at Resthaven Memorial Gardens, 9501 Catoctin Mountain Highway, Frederick where a service will be held on Wednesday, November 22nd at 11 am.
