Helen Mary Semenuk, 100, of Frederick, Maryland passed away on Thursday, January 28th. She was the loving wife for 48 years of the late Bill Semenuk. Born October 20, 1915 in Detroit, Michigan to her late Polish immigrant parents, Michael and Catherine Markowicz. Upon graduating from Commerce High School in 1932, Helen took her first job as a quality controller at Termsted, Inc. She then got a "cushy" stenographer job at Parke-Davis Drug Company. Then raising her three children in Pennsylvania and later Towson, Maryland she edited her community newsletter and worked at St. Joseph's Hospital before becoming a real estate agent in Falls Church, Virginia in the '70's. In her spare time she loved doing crosswords and playing poker with friends. She is survived by her children; Helen Maleady and husband Jim of Lake Linganore. Bill Semenuk and wife Marian of Annapolis. And Catherine Pardee of Burlington, West Virginia. Four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
