Helen Lowe's Obituary
Helen Lowe, a cherished and beloved matriarch, was born on October 23, 1934, in the quaint town of Lewistown, Maryland. She peacefully departed this world on July 5, 2026, after a courageous battle with congestive heart failure. Her life was a testament to love, resilience, and unwavering dedication to her family and community.
Helen was the beloved daughter of the late Maynard C. Ramsburg and Gertrude "Gertie" Baugher. She was welcomed into eternity by her parents and her siblings, John Ramsburg, Paul Ramsburg, Bub Ramsburg, Norville Ramsburg, Mary Crouse, and Blanche Ramsburg. Her enduring legacy, however, continues to live on in the hearts of her surviving family, including her devoted children, Ronald W. Lowe and his wife Sherry, and Donald E. Lowe with his wife Arlene Lowe. Helen's granddaughters, Candida M. Lowe and Crystal L. Lowe, were the light of her life, and she cherished the time she spent with them. Helen is also survived by her loving sisters, Nellie Helman and Louise Chewning.
Helen shared a remarkable journey of 65 and a half years of marriage with her beloved husband, Harold "Peck" Lowe. Their union was a testament to enduring love and partnership, with Harold now welcoming her into eternity.
With a heart full of compassion, Helen dedicated nearly 70 years of her life to nursing, serving as a private duty nurse for many seniors in Frederick County. Her care and kindness left an indelible mark on the lives of those she served. Helen and Harold were lifelong members of the Burkittsville Ruritan Club, actively participating in their community. She was also a former member of the Moose and Eagles Clubs in Brunswick.
Helen was a woman of many passions. Even at the age of 91, she remained vibrant and active, tending to her yard with love and care. Her green thumb was evident in the flourishing flowers, plants, and gardens she nurtured. She delighted in maintaining her fish pond and ensured that the birds, squirrels, rabbits, and deer that visited her home were well-fed. She was also known as the neighborhood historian.
A service to celebrate Helen's life will take place on July 13, 2026, at 11:00 AM with visitation at 10:00 AM, at Resthaven Memorial Gardens, located at 9501 Catoctin Mountain Hwy (US 15 N). Those wishing to honor Helen's memory are invited to donate to a charity of their choice, flowers are welcome.
The Lowe Family extends their heartfelt gratitude to family members Charles "Chucky" Lowe, Elaine & Randall Richards, Kenny & Mae Ramsburg, the Dinterman family, and friends and neighbors Star Fitez, Carl & Brenda Blanken, Brenda Miller, Emily & Paul Barbour, David Casilias, and Mr. Mule for their unwavering support and kindness.
While Helen may have left this world, her spirit, love, and the remarkable memories she created will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
