Mr. Harold William "Peck" Lowe, 85, of Frederick, passed away on February 1, 2017 at Frederick Memorial Hospital after a lengthy struggle with Alzheimer's disease. He was the husband of Helen D. Ramsburg Lowe, his wife of 65 1/2 years.Born in Brunswick, Harold was the son of the late Charles William Lowe and the late Kathryn Hoffman Lowe McLoughlin, and stepson of the late Gerald McLoughlin, Sr. He worked at Oxfiber in Frederick for 19 years as a machine operator, and later for Eveready, located on East Street. He retired from Frederick Trading Company in 1993. Mr. Lowe loved hunting, fishing and trapping, and enjoyed gabbing and making friends with anyone. He was a longtime member of the Burkittsville Ruritan Club and a former member of the Moose and Eagles clubs in Brunswick.In addition to his loving wife, Mr. Lowe is survived by two sons, Ronald Wayne Lowe (Sherry) and Donald Eugene Lowe and wife Arlene; two granddaughters, Candida Marie Lowe and Crystal Lynn Lowe; sisters, Mary Boone and Grace Dinterman; brothers Tommy Lowe, Douglas Lowe and Gerald McLoughlin, Jr., and many nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and other relatives. He was preceded in death by a sister, Dorothy Runkles and brothers Charles Everett Lowe and James Lowe. Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 5th from 3:00 - 5:00 PM in the Chapel Mausoleum of Resthaven Memorial Gardens, 9501 Catoctin Mountain Hwy (U.S. Route 15 N) in Frederick, where a funeral service will begin at 10:00 AM on Monday, February 6th. Interment will follow in the Garden of Devotion at Resthaven Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Randy Huffer, Carroll Huffer, Sam Brown, Fred Parker, Dave Axline and Butch Mentzer . In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Daybreak Adult Day Services, 7819 Rocky Springs Rd, Frederick, MD 21702, ;(American Heart Association (www.heart.org).
