Grace DiLoreto's Obituary
Grace DiLoreto was born on September 23, 1929 to Reuben Sithens and Josephine (Stansfield) Sithens in
Millville, NJ and entered into rest on September 7, 2024.
Growing up, she loved spending summers at her family’s lake house. As a young woman, she worked as a
secretary in Washington DC, where she met the love of her life, Angelo (Del) DiLoreto. They were wed on
August 2, 1952 and enjoyed 71 years of marriage before Angelo’s passing in 2023. She spent many years
as a military housewife as they traveled around the world and across the United States for her husband’s
various deployments. She especially enjoyed the time the family spent in Japan in the 1950s. Later in life,
she also worked as a school bus driver, volunteered for many years at the Fredrick Rescue Mission in
Fredrick, MD, and was very involved with helping to equip the Saints in Weyers Cave, VA. Her favorite
role, however, was as wife and mother – she considered those years of raising her children as her favorite
time in life. She later also cherished the roles of grandmother and great-grandmother.
Grace is survived by her four children and their spouses; Thomas and Ruth (DiLoreto) Gosnell, Wesley and
Grace (DiLoreto) Britton, David and Faythe (Schlabach) DiLoreto, Esther (DiLoreto) Polson. In addition, she
is survived by sixteen grandchildren; Crystal (Gosnell) Raphael, Jonathan Gosnell, Benjamin Gosnell,
Renee (Gosnell) Harper, Jeremiah Pauley, Jason Pauley, Joshua Pauley, Chelsea (DiLoreto) Wheeler,
Marissa DiLoreto, Tyler DiLoreto, Danielle Polson, Erin (Polson) Sieber, Nathan Polson, Brendon Isaac Polson, Halle Polson, Andrew Polson and twenty-three great-grandchildren Thomas Raphael, Evelyn Gosnell,
Cescily Gosnell, Megan Gosnell, Annalee Gosnell, Evangeline Gosnell, Navia Gosnell, Mosiah Gosnell,
Zebulon Gosnell, Eleazer Gosnell, Vivian Gosnell, Lucretia Harper, Charla Harper, Nora Harper, Jackson
Harper, Tristan Pauley, Celeste Pauley, Rebecca Pauley, Emily Pauley, Loretta Ann Wheeler, Aria Seiber,
Aiden Sieber, Darius Polson, and Paisley Thomas.
She loved serving others and was an avid supporter of missionaries around the world. Her generosity,
presence, affinity for all things purple and roses, and loving affirmations will be missed by those she has
left behind. All are welcome to join Grace’s family at her viewing on Thursday, Sept. 26, 2024, from 10:00
