Goldie M. Smith's Obituary
Goldie M. Smith, wife of the late Harry Smith, passed away on October 25, 2025 at Meritus Medical Center in Hagerstown, MD. She was born on December 4, 1929 in Rockville, MD to the late William Hall and Isabelle Sosebee.
Goldie is survived by two children, Sharon Apperson (Mac) and Calvin Staubs, Jr.
She was the grandmother to Shannon Stanton (Ed), Christopher Apperson (Sherry), and Sandra McIntyre (Frankie), Calvin Staubs III (Roxanne), Ashley Staubs (Tony), Greg Byers and Jack Eichelberger (Tamera).
She was the great grandmother to Kelsea Perrell (Kyle), Kylie Spessert (Cadin), Kinleigh and Kaylin Stanton, Christopher Apperson, Zakary and Taylor McIntyre, Brooke and Markita Taylor, Cory (Rachel) and Connor Staubs, Jade, Kade and Tiara Eichelberger, Josh and Amber Byers.
She was the great great grandmother to Charleigh, Isaac, Taylor, Trevyn, Kai, Kennedy, Avery, Khaleesi, Dawson and Brantley.
Goldie loved spending time with her grandchildren, cooking and baking cakes for her family and friends. She also enjoyed reading and crocheting.
She is survived by a brother, Carl Sosebee Jr (Janice) and nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death are parents, William Hall and Isabelle Sosebee; siblings, Claude Hall, Jackie Keller, Jean Brown, Elaine Athey, Erma Darby, Doris Hayes, Wilbur Hall and Ann Heflin; granddaughter, Christina Staubs.
No services will be held by the request of Goldie.
