George Cleveland Martin, Jr., of Frederick passed away on Sunday, April 10th. He was the loving husband of the late Rosa R. Martin for 44 years. He was born on November 29, 1925 in Washington, DC, to the late George, Sr. and Myrtle May Martin. George was a radio operator on a B-52 in WWII who utilizing his GI Bill graduated from the University of Maryland with a Bachelor of Science Degree becoming a Civil Engineer. In his spare time he loved to do woodworking, taking raw material and turning it into beautiful furniture. His love of life was immense as he enjoyed fishing and gardening. He is survived by his children; George Martin, III, Allan Martin, Glenn Martin and wife Dana. Daughter-in-law; Baerbel Martin. Eight grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents and wife he was preceded in death by his son; Roberto Martin. And sisters; Harriet Robertson and Doris Eckhard. A memorial service will take place at a later date.
