George Frederick Heffner, Jr. "Bimbo", 62, of Thurmont passed away December 27th. He was the loving husband of Florence "Tiny" Blizzard Heffner for 43 years. Born June 30, 1953, in Frederick County to the late George, Sr. and Helen Heffner. Bimbo was a generous, loving man who provided meals to many, especially children. He was an avid golfer, hunter, and fisherman who loved his Orioles, especially Cal Ripken, Jr., and collecting beanie babies and Hess Trucks. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children; George Heffner, III (Sherry) and Amy Heffner. Grandchildren; Courtney, Kimmy, Kara, George IV and Bradley. Foster grandchildren; Deonte and Eric. Siblings; Patty, Harry, Terry, Theresa, Ricky and Barbie. Good friend; Rick. And numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by Brothers; David Wayne and Allen. Sister; Virginia. And special friend; Roland. The family sends a special thanks to his friends and staff at Denny's on West Patrick Street. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 2, 2016 at 2 pm at the Chapel Mausoleum at Resthaven Memorial Gardens, 9501 Catoctin Mountain Highway, Frederick, MD.
