George "Junebug" Franklin Morningstar, Jr. of Thurmont, Maryland passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, March 22nd. He was the loving husband of Bonnie Morningstar. He was born on October 26, 1950 to the late George, Sr. and Amy Biddinger-Morningstar. George was born and raised in Thurmont and was an avid fisherman and hunter who loved to hunt for mushrooms. He was a true friend to all. He was a volunteer at the Graceham Volunteer Fire Company. In addition to his wife he is survived by his sons; Christopher and Joseph. Grandson; Devon Brewer. Brother; Charles "Butch" Morningstar and sister; Mary "Sis" Dewees. And numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by many aunts and uncles. A visitation will take place on Thursday, March 24th from 7-9 PM at the Resthaven Historical Chapel, 9501 Catoctin Mountain Highway, Frederick where a funeral service will be held on Friday, March 25th at 11 AM. Interment will follow in the Garden of Prayer at Resthaven Memorial Gardens. Contributions can be made to a college fund for his grandson, 136 Water Street, Thurmont, MD 21788.
