Frances Louise Sparks' Obituary
Ms. Frances Louise Sparks, 92, of Frederick, MD, passed away peacefully on August 4, 2023.
Born in Andalusia, Alabama on July 8, 1931, she was the daughter of the late John Edward Gue and Eunice Marie Adams Gue. The family moved to the Frederick area (Araby) while she was still a young girl.
Ms. Sparks worked for various companies in the Frederick area such as C&P Telephone Company before starting a long career at Frederick Electronics (Plantronics). Later in her career, she worked for Oakand/Harris Corporation as a Project Manager in Bethesda before retiring in 2005 after the birth of her granddaughter.
She loved her family, her pets and her flowers. She is survived by her two sons, John of Walkersville, MD and James, along with his wife Beth of Sharpsburg, MD and her granddaughter Kylie of Sharpsburg, MD.
A Memorial Service will be held from 6:00pm - 8:30pm on Friday, September 1, 2023, at Resthaven Funeral Home, 9501 Catoctin Mountain Highway, Frederick, MD 21701. Refreshments will follow.
Floral tributes are welcome, or, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Frederick County Animal Control & Pet Adoption Center, 1832 Rosemont Ave, Frederick, MD 21702 (a cause near & dear to her as a lover of animals).
