Frances L Jewell's Obituary
Frances Louise Jewell passed away peacefully on Tuesday August 29th, 2023, in Frederick, MD.
She was born on May 31, 1931, to her parents, Oscar L. Hoffman & Helen L. Koontz Hoffman. Living most of her life in the Frederick County area, she was a graduate of Frederick High School in 1948, before moving onto a career in sales where she sold Sarah Coventry jewelry and Dutchmaid clothing. She later switched career pathways, where she became a top real estate agent and was recognized as the number five salesman for ReMax in the Nation for five consecutive years, before retiring in 2016.
Fran was an active and long-time member of Jefferson United Church of Christ. She was also a member of the Brunswick Moose and the Frederick Elks Lodge, where she expressed her love of dancing.
Fran is survived by her son, Randy Stockman and fiancée Sherry; daughter, Rhonda Trail and husband Melvin; three grandchildren, Natalie Wilson and husband Josh, Meghan Spata and husband Stephen, and Byron Stockman; three great grandchildren, Mason & Layla Wilson, and Grayson Stockman.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Dorothy Fuller and Doris Coblentz; as well as her first husband, Paul Byron Stockman of 25 years, and Donald Jewell, also of 25 years.
If you would like to express your condolences to the family, a viewing will be held on Wednesday, September 6th, 2023, from 4-6pm, followed by funeral services and a light reception on Thursday, September 7th, 2023, at 11 am. Both services will be located at Resthaven Memorial Gardens, 9501
