Obituary
Evelyn Dolores Bonney passed away on August 28, 2016 at the Masonic Village in Sewickley, PA. She was born in North Braddock, PA on February 5, 1926. She graduated from Scott High School in Braddock, PA and was employed at Westinghouse in East Pittsburgh where she met her husband Robert "Bob" Bonney. They were married June 30, 1945 in North Braddock, PA. They raised their three daughters in North Irwin, PA where Evelyn was a member of the North Irwin Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary and the bowling league. She is most remembered for her ever present smile, her sense of humor and readiness to laugh, her compassion and giving spirit. She doted on her grandchildren and they all remember the lipstick kiss imprints on their cheeks. In 1975 Evelyn and Bob moved to Walkersville, MD where she was a devoted caregiver to Bob following his stroke. They had 61 years together and in 2007 following Bob's death, she moved to the Masonic Village in Sewickley. In addition to her husband, Evelyn was preceded in death by her parents, Stephen and Mary (Kozusko) Gromko. She is survived by her daughters Roberta "Bobbie" (George LaPlante) Jones; Linda (Gordon) James; Patricia "Patty" (Barry) Grimm; her grandchildren Scott Jones, Brian Jones, Kevin James, Keith James, Bonney Grimm Garbacz; ten great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She is fondly remembered by Spike and Cheryl Jones. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 am on October 15, 2016 at Resthaven Cemetery in Frederick, MD. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Masonic Village at Sewickley and mailed to Masonic Villages, Office of Gift Planning, One Masonic Drive, Elizabethtown, PA 17022.
