Mr. Ernest Bradley Hancock, Jr., 94, of Frederick passed away peacefully Saturday, July 1, 2017 at Homewood of Crumland Farms, Frederick. He was the beloved husband of Catherine Elizabeth Hancock (Kay) for 72 years. Born May 2, 1923 in Washington, D.C. he was one of 6 children born to the late Ernest Bradley, Sr. and Mary Poore Hancock Lumsden. He belonged to local 24 Asbestos Workers. He is survived by his loving daughter, Donna and son-in-law, Robert Logan; grandsons, Patrick and Michael Foster and their wives, Sandy and Beth; and four great-grandchildren, Bradley, Michael, Samantha and Gabriel Foster; sister Betty Taylor and brother Dwight Lumsden and wife Judy and brother Bill Lumsden and Mary Fevola and a host of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his sister Doris Heyer and brother Donald Lumsden. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, July 6, 2017 at Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick. Funeral services will begin at 10 a.m. on Friday, July 7th from the funeral home chapel. Interment will be private. Memorial donations may be made to the Susan G. Komen Organization, www.komen.org.
