Erik came to Southern California occasionally, where Tim and I lived (Greg his father is my cousin) he always called to make made plans to get together! He was a person you wanted to be around caring, delightful, uplifting ❤️
He was fun with a contagious out look on life. His faith is now sight🙌
Had heard about him. But when I finally met him in person quite randomly in October 2020 at Terre Haute, we chatted for probably two hours. He was engaging, thoughtful, probing, and friendly. The world is less good without him; yet the world and people who knew him are so much better for having had and met him. And what he did with CAMDEx was visionary. Prayers for comfort to all who knew and loved him.
Erik will be missed by the Indiana Pipe Club. Our condolences to his family and close friends. See you again in the big smoke lounge in the sky.
My favorite memory still to this day was when Erik was in his 20s visiting my parents, my brother and myself; and my friend and I literally tickled him to death that night. It was so fun for us little kids, that it has always stuck with me! I still can’t believe this is real.
Erik was a great man. I briefly had a chance to know him but he really made a great impact in my life and my friends from the Spirits of Saints. I remembered him fondly teaching me to light a pipe during a pipe and cigar night at his neighbor’s place. May his memory live on and rest in peace.
