Obituary
Erich Edward Muehl, Jr, 89 of Frederick, Maryland, was surrounded by his family when he peacefully passed away on Wednesday, October 25, 2017. Born on April 18, 1928, in Memphis, Tennessee, he was the son of Susie Usher Robinson Muehl and Erich Edward Muehl, Sr. He served overseas in the U.S. Army from 1946 to 1949 and 1954 to 1956. He retired from the Central Intelligence Agency after nearly 30 years of service. He was a long-time member of Calvary Untied Methodist Church in Frederick. Mr. Muehl leaves behind his beloved wife of 67 years, Maude Ann Eberhart Muehl, his son Paul Muehl, his daughters, Laura Quigley and Sara Greer, his grandchildren Angela and Erich Muehl, Stephanie and Carin Quigley, Alexander and William Greer, great-granddaughter, Savannah Muehl, and sister Irma R. McCullough of Memphis, TN. He was pre-deceased by his sisters Helen Clifton of Huntsville, AL and Susie Vaughn of Hopewell, VA. A memorial service will be held at Calvary United Methodist Church at 131 West Second Street, Frederick on Wednesday, November 8, 2017 at 2:00, followed by a short reception at the church. A private interment ceremony will be held at Resthaven Memorial Gardens immediately following the reception.
