Woods, Elsie Kitty's Obituary
Elsie E. Woods, lovingly known as “Kitty,” age 90, of Thurmont, passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 5, 2026, with her children by her side.
She was born August 25, 1935, in Frederick, she was the daughter of the late William Biddinger and Claire. She was also the devoted wife of the late Jack Woods.
Kitty spent most of her career working as an accountant, dedicating the last thirty years to preparing taxes for her many loyal clients. She was known for her sharp mind, strong work ethic, and the care she put into helping others.
She enjoyed simple pleasures, especially taking rides with her late husband to admire the sights. Kitty also loved playing Bingo on various nights with family and friends at local fire halls and other community bingo gatherings. Her warm presence and joyful spirit made her a favorite companion at every table.
Kitty is survived by her three children, Leona Fleming (Joseph), Wanda Dodd (Gordon) and Leonard Crouse Jr., (late, Eileen); 7 grandchildren; and 6 great-grandchildren.
The visitation will be held on Sunday, April 12, 2026 from 3pm until 6pm in the Catoctin Chapel at Resthaven Frederick, 9501 Catoctin Mtn Hwy, Frederick, MD 21701. The funeral service will be held on Monday, April 13, 2026 at 2 pm in the Catoctin Chapel at Resthaven Frederick followed by a burial at Resthaven Memorial Gardens.
Her family will forever cherish her love, strength, and the many memories she leaves behind.
