Duncan Killmaster Wright's Obituary
Duncan Killmaster Wright, 78, died May 29, 2026 at his home in Pasadena, Md., at the edge of Ashlar Pond, one of many waterways that connect to the Chesapeake Bay of Maryland. Duncan was born to Helen Lipscomb Wright and Burdette Shields Wright Jr. on October 30th,1948 at the George Washington Hospital in Washington, D.C.
He is survived by his daughter Maureen Cronvich-Wright, and siblings Joseph Welles Henderson, Campbell Ross Wright, Mary Elizabeth Wright, Alexander Crane Wright, Lucy Brooke Jennings, Edison Marshall Jennings and Andrew Walker Wright. He was predeceased by his mother and father Helen and Burdette, his younger brother Thomas Weir Wright, and his lovely wife Joan Marie Wright.
He was a much loved husband, father, brother, brother-in-law, and uncle to nieces and nephews of his birth family and the many members of his wife Joan’s family: Vance Stephen Hubbard and his family, and Lisa Ann Keefer and her family.
He will be missed!
In life as a young man, he became fluent in Spanish while living with his father in Argentina. Later in life he became an accomplished stage actor in such plays as Amadeus, Oklahoma, One Flew Over the Cuckoos Nest , A Christmas Carol and more.
Services will be held for Duncan June 27, 2026
Service 12-1 pm
Interment 1-1:30
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the ASPCA as Duncan was an avid animal lover.
