Dorothy M Todd's Obituary
Obituary
Dorothy M. Todd, 87, of Frederick returned to her heavenly home on October 9, 2016. She was the loving wife of Earl W. Todd for 64 years. Her devotion to her family and her firm belief in God supported her throughout her life and ultimately gave her peace. Dorothy was born on February 28, 1929 in Fayetteville, West Virginia to the late George and Lily Crawford. She was a caregiver at Pinecrest TB Sanitarium in Beckley, WV in her very young life before relocating to Frederick as a homemaker. As a loving and devoted mother she enjoyed gardening, singing hymns, crocheting, tending her chickens and her companion mini pincher Bo, and providing the best home cooked meals. Dorothy was blessed with four children, seven grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. She loved her family and spoiled her grandkids, correcting them if needed. She will be dearly missed by her loved ones here, but they celebrate the fact that she is at peace with her Creator and has joined those that preceded her in death. Children; Donna Markuski and Robert E. Todd. Granddaughter; Beth Shaffer. Great granddaughter; Taylor Shae-Toms. Sisters; Annie Laurie, Dolly, Waneta and Madge. Brothers; Charles, Pat, Paul, Frank and Jack. In addition to her husband she is survived by her daughters; Brenda Morris of Thurmont and Maude Eva Frey and husband Steve of Mountaindale. Sister; Peggy Jane of Brunswick, OH and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. There will be a visitation at the Historical Chapel at Resthaven Memorial Gardens, 9501 Catoctin Mountain Highway, Frederick on Saturday, October 15th from 10-11 AM where a service will begin at 11 AM. Interment will follow in the Garden of Veterans I. Flowers are encouraged as Dorothy really loved them. To sign the online guestbook and leave condolences please go to www.resthaven.us.
