Dorothy Irene Reckley, “Dot”, age 97, passed away on Sunday, July 9th, 2023, surrounded by her family at Frederick Health Hospital. She was the daughter to the late Perry & Deanie Kerns of Greenspring, WV. She was 1 of 15 siblings and loving wife to the late James R. Reckley. She was loving mother to 7 children, to the late Martha Louise, who passed away as infant from a heart defect. Living children of Bonnie & Vernon French of Emmitsburg, James & Sharon Reckley of Frederick, Patricia & Robert Lewis of Frederick. The late William & Virginia Reckley of Hagerstown, Daniel Reckley of California and Roxanna & Dave Summers of Wolfsville. Proud Grandmother to Marilyn & Chuck Collins, Donna Sweeney, Katina & Keith Milligan, Dawn & Davey Summers, Chance Bast, Danielle Reckley Pitzer and Damon Reckley. Great & Great Great Grandmother to numerous grandchildren. Long-term special friend to the family, Louise Powell. Dorothy will be greatly missed by everyone. A private family memorial will take place at Resthaven on Mon, July 31st 2023.
