Mrs. Dorothy M. Miller, 80, of Thurmont, MD passed away, Wednesday, July 12, 2017 at Northampton Manor. She was the beloved wife of Kenneth Miller. Born April 25, 1937 in Dickerson, MD she was the daughter of the late Maurice and Tressie (Dove) Bradshaw. Dorothy worked as a school crossing guard for the Frederick City Police, custodial for Frederick Co. Public schools, care taker for the Frederick Co. Parks and Recreation (Rose Hill Manor) and a day care provider. She also served as the fundraising co-chair for the PTA as well as a member. Dorothy enjoyed cake decorating, crocheting, gardening, canning, baking, ceramics, painting and caring for children. In addition to her husband of 62 years, she is survived by her children Clyde Miller and wife Kathy, Kenneth Miller and Vickie Burgee and husband Wade; grandchildren Brian Miller and significant other Karen Rodgers, Michele Kloman and husband Chris, Jr., Brandy Wetzel and husband Shawn, AJ Fogle, Wyatt Burgee and Riley Burgee and great-grandson Dylan Miller; brothers, Charles Bradshaw, Maurice Bradshaw, John Bradshaw, Larry Bradshaw, Robert Bradshaw, Billy Bradshaw and Harry Dove; sisters, Joan Crouse and Pollly Crose. He was predeceased by brother, Jimmy Bradshaw. The family would like to thank special nurses Diane and Josie for their care. The family will receive friends at Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick on Sunday, July 16, 2017 from 2-4PM where a funeral service will be held on Monday, July 17 at 11AM. Interment will follow at Resthaven Memorial Gardens.
