Obituary
Mrs. Dorothy Mae Blank, 83, of Frederick, passed away on Friday, June 17, 2016, at the Citizens Care and Rehabilitation Center. She was the wife of the late Ezra Wilson Blank, Jr. Born in Ashtabula, Ohio on May 18, 1933, she was the daughter of the late Corabel Buie Kean. She was retired from the Federal Government having worked for the Department of the Army and the USDA. She was a member of NARFE. Dorothy was a very active member of the First Church of the Nazarene, singing with the choir, the Silver Liners of the church, and also with the Work and Witness Team and had traveled to Alaska for Missionary services. She was a member of Concerned Women for America. She and her husband enjoyed traveling and she had great love for her pet dog, Cody. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to her care givers and staff of Citizens, Right at Home and Hospice of Frederick County. Surviving are her children, Jerry W. Blank and wife Jean, of Adamstown, Debbie A. Blank, of Frederick, Brian V. Blank, of Frankfort, KY and Terri J. Sensenig and husband Daryl, of Frederick, her grandchildren, Ashley Blank, Justin Blank, Courtney Blank, Brooke Winn and husband Josh, and Hunter Sensenig. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., on Tuesday, June 21, 2016, at the Keeney and Basford Funeral Home, 106 East Church Street, Frederick. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., on Wednesday, June 22, 2016 from the First Church of the Nazarene. Rev Rob Merki, will officiate. Interment will follow in Resthaven Memorial Gardens, Frederick.
