Obituary
Dorotha "Dotty" Raye Lang (May 21, 1926 - July 27, 2016) passed away at age 90 after a long illness. Born in Akron, Ohio, and recently of Odenton and Hagerstown Md., she is survived by her sister, Betty Morton of Charlotte, NC and predeceased by her sister, Wanda Dunlap and her parents, Albert & Bessie Kyker. She was the widow of Howard W. Lang, and the beloved mother of Gary L. Lewis, Karen J. Lewis, Jeffrey A. Lewis (Donna), and Marie L. Lagos (Eddie); grandmother of Joseph Lagos, Anthony Absalon, Alexis Lagos, Andrew Lewis and Sara Lewis; great-grandmother of Gavin and Miles Absalon, Theo and Merrit Lewis, and Grant, Eamon and Lila Lewis-Stull. Dotty was a seamstress, avid quilter, and lover of mysteries. A memorial service (conducted by Reverend Michael Seger, Chaplin with Hospice of Washington County) will be held at the Historical Chapel at Resthaven Memorial Gardens, 9501 Catoctin Mountain Highway, Frederick, Md. 21701 on Monday, August 8th at 12 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Hospice of the Chesapeake at www.hospicechesapeake.org/support-donate or Washington County Hospice at www.hospiceofwc.org/donate.
