Obituary
Mr. Donald "Eight-ball" Jerome Seesz, 84, of Frederick, Maryland passed away on July 21, 2017. He was the loving husband of Joan Weinzetl Seesz, his wife of 63 years. He was born on December 12, 1932 in Fairfax, MN to the late John Seesz and Lilian Sander Seesz. "Eight-ball" attended Fairfax Minnesota Elementary school and graduated from Fairfax High School in 1951. He helped build the grandstand at Memorial Park and helped Buddy Seesz lay the floor in the new Municipal building. After high school he joined the Western Mini Baseball League. He then entered the Army for a short time and when he came home he took a job with the Fairfax Creamery where it was his job to drive a little white truck around town delivering cream, butter, cheese and milk in wire baskets to the doorsteps of the townspeople. He married Joan at St. Andrews Catholic Church Rectory on September 18, 1954. They were blessed with seven children and raised a grandson, Michael. Donald and Joan moved to Kenyon, Minnesota where he took a job in the Moland Creamery and as an all-around helper and butter maker. His next job took him to a dairy outside of Blooming Prairie, Minnesota where he was the Manager-Butter maker. From there he took a job out East in Laurel, Maryland where he was the head of the Butter Department, where he stayed for 14 years. He then took a job at Montgomery General Hospital as a Stationary Engineer in the boiler room for 27 years. He retired in 2002 and moved to Gloucester, Virginia for eight years and then returned to Maryland for 7 years where he enjoyed watching sports, horseracing, old cowboy shows, MASH and the Golden Girls on t.v. Throughout his life he enjoyed playing cards, bowling, picnics and music in the park and playing with his children and grandchildren. He was a hardworking family man. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his baby brother, Harlan who died at birth and sister Ruth Foard. In addition to his wife he is survived by his children; Dianne Roberts, Donald Seesz, Jr., Elaine Pinder, Jeffry Seesz, Catherine Kuhn, Rosemary Leyman, Linda Seesz and Michael Seesz.. Grandchildren; Renae Roberts, Mandy Elias, Antionette (Robin) Seesz, Carlos Dorsey, Melissa Seesz, Lauren Kuhn, Ashley Kuhn and Taylor Burdick. Great-grandchildren; Cole, Madelyn, Gaven, Thorne, Rylan and Kaitlyn. And sister Leora Groebner. Funeral services have already been held.
