Obituary
Mrs. Dolly Madison (Lawson) Staley, 83, of Urbana, died peacefully Friday, April 27, 2018, at Homewood at Crumland Farms. Born on October 13, 1934, she was the daughter of the late Gabriel & Evelyn (Bowen) Lawson and the wife of the late Bernard H. Staley who died in 2002. She was predeceased by her sister, Virginia Wilcom. She is survived by two daughters, Jill M. Main and husband Andy of Urbana, and Tammy I. Click and Charlie of Frederick; three grandsons, Zachary Main, Austin Click and Daniel Click; one granddaughter, Alexis Main; and several nieces and nephews. She will be remembered by friends, Harriet & Dale Wachter, Shirley Moxley, Karen "Cookie", John & Rachel Main. She was employed at Potomac Edison of Frederick and later became a full time homemaker. Spending most of her life in Urbana, she was a lifelong member of the Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church where she taught sunday school, sang in the choir and participated in many church events. She was honored with a life membership of the Urbana Volunteer Fire Department and Ladies Auxiliary for her dedication and service to the community. Dolly was always full of fun and laughter and enjoyed traveling with her husband and friends in the Urbana Travel Club along with many weekend camping trips and summer long travel with her family. She especially enjoyed spending time with her four grandchildren who were the light of her life. Family will receive friends and family from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm on Tuesday, May 1, at Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Wednesday, May 2, at the funeral home with Pastor Sandi Phillips, of Wesley Chapel, officiating.
