Dennis Huber's Obituary
Dennis Huber, 79, of Union Bridge passed away Wednesday, May 22. He was born on Feb. 11, 1945 in Reading, PA, the son of the late Francis Huber and Dorothy Levan.
A graduate of Howard High School, Dennis spent his professional career in the automobile industry working at Loving Chevrolet and Century Ford at the Mount Airy and Rockville locations. He later co-owned and operated Andy’s Body Shop in Woodbine for several years with his stepson James White. Dennis also served as a dedicated caretaker for his brothers-in-law John and David Strouth.
Dennis spent his personal time working on and being around automobiles. He had a passion for working on custom cars as well as operating remote control cars, small airplanes and boats. On summer weekends, you would often find him cruising at car shows across the region.
Always up for a party with family and friends, he enjoyed hanging out on Sundays and traveling with his best friend B.J. and Marilyn.
Dennis was married to Jean Huber for 50 years until she passed in November 2021. He was a beloved son, brother, husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather.
Dennis is survived by daughter Denise Huber (John) of Union Bridge; sons Dennis Mueller (Char) and Tim Mueller(April); stepson James White (Jeannemarie) of Union Bridge; stepdaughter Tricia Grandstaff (Bill) of Mount Airy, grandchildren Rachel Allison (Timothy) Davey Allison (Maddie), Tim Mueller Jr., Samantha Mueller, Jacob Mueller and Jordan Mueller; step grandchildren Jason White (Gina), Jessica Cline (Chris), Justin Grandstaff, James Grandstaff (Kim) and John Mackenzie III ; great grandchildren Kaylee Parsley, Wyatt Parsley, Addison Parsley, Emori Parsley and Landon Allison; step great grandchildren Ashley Cline, Jackson White, Ella White, McKenzie Heiston and Josie Grandstaff and brothers James Huber and Randy Huber. In addition to his parents, Dennis was preceded in death by brother Thomas Huber.
His family wishes to thank Frederick Health Hospice for the outstanding care Dennis received especially from nurses Lori and Dee. They appreciate Gary McLaughlin and his daughter Jennifer as well as Cecilia Fox for all their help.
A celebration of life will take place at 2 p.m., June 15 at 10279 Fountain School Rd., Union Bridge, MD.
