Denise Christine Gildersleeve, 27, of Frederick passed away unexpectedly at home on July 22nd. Born July 3, 1989 to Edward Gildersleeve and Leslie Vanasse. Denise's greatest joy in life was that of being a mommy. She was known by many to be a very funny person who was a gifted and talented fashionista. Everyone who knew her always said she was a woman full of laughter and smiles and she will be missed by all. She is survived by her father; Edward Gildersleeve and wife Teresa of Frederick. Mother; Leslie Vanasse of Port Jervis, New York. Stepmother; Johanna Gildersleeve of Union Bridge. Her 3 year old daughter; Allison Faith Forbes. Loving companion; Timothy "Tim" Forbes. Brothers; Gregory Gildersleeve and wife Erin of Thurmont, Steven Gildersleeve and wife Jessica of West Allis, Wisconsin, Jonathan Herbert of Port Jervis, New York, Zachary and Nicholas Gildersleeve of Union Bridge. Step-brother; Jordynn McPherson of Hagerstown. Grandmother; Roberta Rutherford of New Ringold, Pennsylvania. Grandparents; Edwin and JoAnn Cable of Middletown, New York. Special niece; Madison Gildersleeve. And many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her grandmother; Alice Vanasse. A visitation will be held Wednesday, July 27th from 4-6 PM at the Historical Chapel at Resthaven Memorial Gardens, 9501 Catoctin Mountain Highway, Frederick where a service will begin at 6 PM.
