Mrs. Deborah Kay Maples' Obituary
Deborah Kay Maples, of Mt. Airy, Md., passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on February 8, 2024. She was born on August 22, 1948 in Eustis, Florida to the late Hubert and Georgia Maples, and she was preceded in death by her siblings Michael, Barbara, and Janet.
Deborah had a successful career in the Banking and Mortgage Industry, loved gardening, books, spending time with her family and enjoying the sunshine. She had a strong, kind, and generous spirit and was a loving Mother, Grandmother, and Wife. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
She is survived by her Husband of 26 years, Charles Roberts,
Twin daughters,
Cynthia Grimes and husband John,
Judith Cochran and Partner Patrick Lukes,
Son, Frederick Wood, Jr. and Wife Gina. Her brother, Gary Maples,
Grandchildren: Brandon, Miranda, Olivia, Alexandra, John, Erin, Joseph, Kelsey, Grace, Brady, Braxton, Clare, Raechel, and Shannon. Great Grandchildren: Lila, Amelia, Nora, Ada, and Jack.
And many extended family and friends.
Services will be held at:
Resthaven Memorial Gardens
9501 Catoctin Mountain Hwy
Frederick, Md. 21701
The Family will be receiving visitors on February 15th from 5-7pm and the
Funeral Service will be held on February 16th at 11am with a reception to follow.
In lieu of flowers, the family is encouraging donations be made to St. Judes Children’s Hospital or The National Kidney foundation in Deborah’s name.
