Deborah A Winstead's Obituary
Deborah Brake Winstead, age 65 passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 26, 2023 at the Martinsburg WV Hospital. She was born October 30, 1957, In Montgomery County Maryland to Wayne and Betty Brake. Debbie was a 1975 graduate of Wootton High School. She married Bill Winstead on 3 July 2003 in Frederick County Maryland where she lived for 20 years before moving to Martinsburg WV. She worked in the information technology field at Amstar Communications, Black Box and finally at Wells Fargo as a loan processor before retiring.
She is survived by her husband, Bill Winstead; brothers Larry W. Brake, Deltona Fla; Robert L. Brake, Martinsburg WV, many uncles, aunts, nephews and nieces.
Debbie was a huge cat lover. Her feline children Max and Molly brought her great joy and happiness. She nursed them from birth with formula and eye droppers and gave them lots of love. She also enjoyed talking sports and politics with her friends at the Owls Club in Frederick MD. Debbie was highly opinionated and had no problems explaining others misguided political opinions.
Family, friends, and others whose lives Debbie touched are invited to the Resthaven Funeral Home, 9501 Catoctin Mountain Hwy (15 North) Frederick Maryland, from 10:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 4, 2023, to reminisce, grieve, support each other and of course, just chat and break bread.
