Dawn Marie Raab's Obituary
Dawn Marie Raab, 49, passed away unexpectedly at home on Thursday morning, October 9, 2025. She was the loving wife of Gregory Raab. Born on September 13, 1976, in Arlington, VA, she was the daughter of the late George W. Cook and Jean M. (Melvin) Jewell.
Dawn graduated from Governor Thomas Johnson High School in 1994. She worked for Raymond and Werres Corporation for nearly 30 years. During that time she met and worked with numerous individuals who have made a profound impact on her and her family. Dawn survived a courageous battle of Hodgkin's lymphoma in her early 20’s. She was a brave, strong, and kind soul. Her family was her pride and joy. She enjoyed camping, shopping, and spending time with family, especially her children and grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her daughter, Ashley Ferguson and husband Keegan; daughter, Amanda Smith and husband Garrett; son, Dylan Raab; stepson, Corey Raab; stepson, Michael Raab and fiance Abby; granddaughters, Arabella, Aubrey, and Cora; sister, Nikki Jewell; brother, George Cook; and many extended family and friends that she was incredibly close with.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, October 16th from 5:00-7:00 pm at Resthaven Funeral Home, 9501 Catoctin Mountain Highway, Frederick MD. The funeral service will be held on Friday, October 17th at 10:00 am in the Catoctin Chapel at Resthaven Funeral Home with the graveside to follow in Resthaven Memorial Gardens.
We will always cherish the beautiful memories of Dawn. Someone so special will never be forgotten.
