David Edward Tober's Obituary
David Edward Tober, 74, of Walkersville, passed away at home on June 10, 2026. Born on February 6, 1952, to the late Roland Tober and Mildred Dull, Dave was the loving husband of the late Helen Tober and the late Catherine Tober.
Dave spent many years as a dedicated employee of Morning Star Dairy before retiring early due to a heart condition. He was a man of many interests, including watching westerns, going to car shows, collecting coins, and spending time with friends at the Walkersville Bowling Alley. Above all, he was a devoted handyman for his family and a proud "drivers ed teacher" to his grandchildren, whom he also supported at their sports events.
Dave was preceded in death by his wives, his brother George Tober, and his daughter Mary Elizabeth Tober. He is survived by his children, Peggy Frankel and her husband Derek, Kimberly Beall, Kelly Buller and her husband Greg, and Robert Tobery and his wife Michelle. He also leaves behind his sister Leara Fink; seven grandchildren, Amanda Dimitch and her husband Bryan, Kassidy Tobery, William Beall, Gracie Beall, Elizabeth Frankel, Jack Frankel, and Max Frankel; two great-grandchildren, Brodie Dimitch and Delaney Dimitch; and many extended family members and friends.
In accordance with Dave’s wishes, there will be no funeral services. He will be cremated and laid to rest with Catherine at Resthaven Memorial Gardens and with Helen at Glade Cemetery. The family welcomes friends to visit his gravesite at their convenience to pay their respects.
